Mission Trail Nature Preserve
Carmel’s Enchanting ‘Central Park’
The new Trail would continue from the Mission Trail Nature Preserve, a stunning nature preserve in the heart of Carmel-by-the-Sea with peaceful, secluded walking trails inside a 34-acre woodland landscape that truly is Carmel’s ‘Central Park’. The preserve also includes Flanders Mansion and the Lester Rowntree Native Plant Garden.
The Mission Trail Nature Preserve is a treasured place for residents and visitors to experience walking trails within the city limits. Mission Trail is a 1.5-mile-long loop that ends at Rio Rd. across from the Carmel Mission Basilica.
